A rather perilous curve at a spectacular point on NM 104, heading east to Tucumcari.

You know, if you look down into the canyon on the west side of the drop off, you can see a rather large cave entrance. It looks like someone or something has been living in it. Paula and I stopped at the little wide spot in the road, in the middle of this curve to take pics and look through binocs. There’s even a little game trail leading out of this cave. We were on our way home to Austin, by way of Tucumcari when we stopped. Hope things are well with you and Kathy these days. Take care John.

First of all….what a MAGNIFICENT VIEW!!….(and I have considered taking this road before without even knowing it had such views!) Secondly, I would have to pull over somewhere….otherwise I would be scared silly trying to look AND drive….especially downhill! And an interesting story from Melissa P. above…..no telling what or who lives there….Crazy though….HA. But I truly wonder just how many cars have actually driven off the side of this road over the years…..(???) accidental or otherwise…..
