This is a golden oldie, but from the same time of year as right now, looking due west from our first New Mexico home.

So this golden oldie was taken with the Coolpix 950, a 2 MP Nikon. How do you think it compares with the capture in your current digicam, whatever the current cam is?

The current camera is a DSLR, a Pentax #istDs (6.1MP) that takes MUCH better pictures. Nothing to do with the megapixels, but the lenses. The Pentax is getting to be a little old itself, but is perfectly fine. Ergonomically, it’s unbeatable, and it has very few bells & whistles to distract: just an excellent, through-the-lens viewfinder and utter ease of photographing. I don’t need more MP. Very happy with the (now) somewhat outdated Pentax.
