This is actually a rare shot, taken through the kitchen window. You don’t usually see these critters sitting still and eating!

Well, it is a close-up. :-) And jacks are much larger than cottontails.

I gotcha….but STILL – a BIG BOY for sure!! Great shot….and like you say….unusual that he sat still so long….especially in the broad daylight….perhaps there was a hawk or eagle flying around above your house and he thought he should “lie low” which would be hard for THAT BIG BOY to do!! HA……….Later John…..and keep the foto’s coming!
(Definitely getting close to “Spring Time in Taos, eh?!?)
